Can’t. Move. Help!

Yesterday’s practice was more difficult than it should have been. I would normally consider it not very difficult… but it was pretty arduous workout yesterday (for me at least). We began practice with a cross fit, which I think is more difficult, and then we finished our practice with blasters. Yesterday’s blaster workout consisted of 7 x 1 minutes, 7 x 40 seconds, and 7 x 30 seconds. Blasters are very quick… but also very tiring (because they are sprints).

After practice, my family and I went grocery shopping. I found some new things that I can’t wait to share with you all! The first thing I would like to share with you all is…

IMG_1778I love the how easy it is to prepare and the lack of chemicals (say whaaat?). Not only was it healthy, but it was delicious :)

IMG_1775Highlight of my day

Today was very unusual day… I colored in class. What?! Two of my classes today had us coloring (one coloring and the other drawing). I have not colored in school in like forever.

frenchclassDuring my french class, we drew the steps on how to make Ratatouille. It was a ton of fun :) Can you guess which number I drew? I will post the answer at the bottom of this post!

Lunch

Ok so lets talk about food. Today’s lunch was very filling and delicious!

IMG_1780Part of my lunch included a Good Greens bar. I found it at the grocery store yesterday and just had to try it. Coconut and chocolate mixed into one protein bar? I’m sold!

IMG_1781Not only did this bar taste out of this world, but it also contains omega 3, probiotics, and antioxidants along with protein. Good bye nasty Cliff bars and hello Good Greens!

Today’s Practice

This morning I woke up feeling totally fine. I walked downstairs and felt normal. During school I felt normal until around 7th period. The bell rang at the end of 6th period and I stood up and grabbed my books and then… I realized that I was sore. Walking to my 7th period class was torture. I felt like sooooo slow compared to everyone else. I reeeally dislike when people walk slowly in the halls (in between periods) and so it annoyed me that I was that person today.

By the time I arrived to practice I was sore and in no mood to workout. Too bad too sad. We began practice with stretching and rowed 2 x 25 minutes. 25 minute pieces are really not that bad… but they are boring. Staring at a screen (displaying your score) for 25 minutes (50 minutes total) is super boring. Although I was bored out of my mind, I was so thankful for a light workout!

After finishing our 25 minute pieces, we completed an ab circuit. Today’s was not as bad as yesterday’s… or Monday’s.

  1. I can totally sympathize with you on the sprint workouts! We did 5x500s this morning, which in theory shouldn’t be too bad but I was so done by the end!
My current favorite protein bar is the NuGo slim bars, because they’re pretty low in sugar and don’t taste weird like some bars!

  2. I’ve never heard of Good Greens before. I understand what you mean with the Cliff Bars. They taste pretty good, but just aren’t my cup of tea. I’m not into 200 calorie granola bars. They don’t hold me over. I’d much rather eat a 100 calorie bar along with an apple, or a scoop of peanut butter, etc. Gotta love that sore feeling! Hate it, but be proud!
