Yesterday morning I decided to try making Dashing Dish’s French Toast Protein Shake and boy was it good!
The shake was extremely filling aaaand it actually tasted like french toast!
Here are the ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese (you can’t even taste it)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 tsp maple extract (or tbsp maple syrup)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- A dash of nutmeg or pumpkin spice
- 3-5 packets of Stevia (I used 1 tbsp of agave nectar)
- 1/2-1 cup water
- 5-10 ice cubes (I used 8)
- 1/2 tsp xanthan gum (optional)
Just blend all of the ingredients together and wah lah! Now you have a delicious protein shake with only: 180 calories, 0g fat, and 36 grams protein. It’s almost too good to be true!
Practice
After enjoying breakfast, I headed over to practice. Yesterday’s practice was really tiring. I was still sore from Thursday’s practice so the workout seemed to be harder than it should have been. We ended up doing 4 x 750 meters. After getting through the first two, my legs were exhausted. Despite being tired, I was able to keep going
Gotta love erging!
Later, a few of my good friends came over. We ended up having dinner at TGIF Friday’s. I am not a huge fan of eating at Friday’s but we ended up having a blast! There is nothing like a good GNO
Sunday
This morning I made some pancakes. We were out of (cow) milk, so I found a recipe online that used almond milk instead. I was a little nervous about using almond-coconut milk in pancakes, but they turned out really well! My friends even said that they were good
I spent the rest of my Sunday finishing homework and grocery shopping. With tomorrow’s 6k in mind, I made sure to have a protein packed dinner.
Later, my mom and I watched Once Upon A Time and Downton Abbey
How was your weekend?

Yummy! I love findings shakes different from the usual vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I’ll try this one out!
