Woohoo it is finally Friday! This week has been long and tiring, so I am glad that it is over
Breakfast
This morning I made myself a protein packed breakfast due to the difficult practice that awaited me.
After seeing chicken sausage on Julie’s blog, I decided to give it a try. I am glad that I did! This morning’s breakfast was amazing! I threw cheese, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and chicken sausage into my eggs. I will definitely be making this again
Practice
This year my coach wants to have our difficult practices on Mondays and Fridays (rather than Mondays and Thursdays). I was expecting my coach to surprise us with a 6k, but we ended up doing 2 ab pyramids and 7 x 3 mins. I have never liked that workout. Like ever. I am not very good at sprinting for more than 2 minutes, so this workout is always a challenge for me. Fortunately, I was able to beat my goals that I set for myself for today!
Friday Faves: Hair Edition
Now for the fun stuff! I have tried soooo many different shampoos and conditioners. After many years of searching, I finally found the perfect shampoos and conditioners. These products have made a huge difference for my hair. Not only does my hair feel healthier, but it looks healthier now
- My Favorite Shampoo
This shampoo is absolutely amazing! I love how this shampoo does not have all of the scary (unpronounceable) chemicals that other shampoos do. I also love the integration of moroccan argan oil. I had heard a lot of good reviews on moroccan argan oil but was skeptical. After years of watching rediculously fake shampoo commercials, I have become very skeptical when it comes to hair products. I decided to give this shampoo a shot and now I am in love. Too bad it took me this long!
- My Favorite Conditioner
I cannot believe how wonderful this conditioner is. I was not expecting it to be anything special when I bought it… but it is! My hair use to get super knotty after taking showers that it was a pain brushing it. After using this conditioner, my hair began to become manageable and super smooth. Now, I cannot image not using this conditioner!

What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner?
What are your plans for the weekend?

That breakfast bowl looks fantastic! Yum.
That shampoo/conditioner combo looks promising. Loving the no-chemicals. Does it help with the straightening? Two wavy/curly girls over here want to know!
I am not sure about the straightening. My hair is naturally straight so I could not tell you if it works! It does smooth hair well though.
A wedding, church, then no school Monday cause of MLK DAY!

Love the picture of your sneaks!! So artsy
That shampoo looks really nice. I’ve used it before. At school I use biolage. Now that I’ve quit swimming, I can warrant buying myself expensive stuff for my hair!

That breakfast looks delicious! Sorry you’ve been having some difficult practices. I wonder why your coach wants Friday to be a hard workout, that should be your light day! We are spending our weekend in Chicago, just got in last night! Updates to come on my blog.
nom….breakfast bowl looks delicious.
I use apple cider vinger to clarify and clean my hair because normal shampoos are usally too harsh on my hair and strip the moisture. I use coconut oil for hot oil treatments. my all time favorite conditioner is Herbal Essence Hello Hydration.
It’s restaurant week in my town so i have a few lunch and dinner plans with my friends and beau

I have really been loving Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine conditioner over others. It always makes my hair silky smooth and it’s so easy to brush after a shower. I have tried some other Garnier Fructis conditioners but that one is the best in my opinion. I haven’t done much experimenting with expensive brands but I have tried biolage and like it!

Mmm your breakkie does look scrumptious!
And I’ve heard how great Brazilian Keratin is! There’s even a treatment “perm” type of deal that makes it ethereally smooth and healthy. To be honest, I don’t do much for my haircare and usualllly use whatever looks GOOD ENOUGH and inexpensive (like Aussie, sometimes nice products that my mom hands me over, or Kirkland)
I guess I don’t worry about my hair too much because it’s ultra strong and thick, but maybe I should be more cautious about it for the future–especially b/c I hear that giving birth takes a toll on the mom’s hair health. 0_0

It’s amazing how quickly the relief of no 6k fades when you start the workout…I thought we were doing 2x6k on Thursday but we ended up doing sprint pieces that were just as hard!
