Jumbalaya Night

Breakfast

This morning I woke up with a sweet tooth. Rather than eating candy for breakfast, I made myself some oatmeal.

This was probably the best oatmeal I have ever eaten! It was sweet, but not too sweet. There was so much flavor. Needless to say, I enjoyed every bite :)

After breakfast, I reorganized my school materials. Putting all of my books into my backpack only reminded me of all of the work I have ahead of me. Not only does school resume tomorrow, but crew (rowing) practice resumes. I enjoy rowing, but I dislike winter training. Winter training consists of 0% rowing and 100% erging (using the rowing machine) and weight lifting. I would compare winter training to running on a treadmill (only harder) everyday. I don’t know about you all, but I prefer running (and rowing) outside. I enjoy looking at scenery and not having to stare at numbers.

After preparing for school, I headed to the grocery store. Grocery shopping might be one of my favorite things to do, after baking and cooking of course :)

Of course I bought some Chobani!

Chocolate Chobani? Since when?!

Dinner

After grocery shopping, I began making jumbalaya. It was my first time making it, so I followed a recipe off of the internet. I changed a few things from the original recipe, but I couldn’t tell you all exactly what I did (I did not measure some of the ingredients).

IMG_1674The jumbalaya tasted aaaaaamazing! My brother even gave his approval by going for seconds… or thirds ;)

Oh! Did any of you watch Once Upon A Time tonight?! I watched it after eating dinner. It was a pretty good episode!
