Sunny Outlook

Hey guys! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent my Sunday cleaning, doing laundry, finishing homework, and grocery shopping.

I also redecorated my photo corner in my room. My mom found the Paris frame at Hobby Lobby yesterday and decided to buy it for me. I absolutely love it!

Dinner today consisted of toast with almond butter and pierogies.

A Sunny Outlook

Ok so you might be wondering why in the world I titled this post “Sunny Outlook”. Well, I did it for two reasons. The first being that today is Sunday so I thought that it would be a little punny (lol). Second, I am tired of winter. For those of you in warm climates, I am so jealous! It has been pretty yucky here in Chicago. I don’t mind snow before Christmas… but after December it needs to stop. Gray skys and slush can be very annoying to look at. So, I decided to make a list of things that I am looking forward to and things that I am enjoying now.

Things that I am enjoying today:

  • Living at home
  • Spending time with my family
  • Having time to plan out my future

What I am looking forward to:

  • Warm weather
  • Racing season (less erging)
  • No more 6k tests.. or 2ks
  • Graduation
  • Summer vacation
  • College!
  • My first half-marathon

Thinking about all of the good things to come helps to make me stay optimistic and to keep trudging through yucky slush :)

What are you looking forward to?

  1. Oh mannn now I feel bad for saying that it’s too warm in socal, lol! I mean, I guess it’s not too bad but it’s been dry like crazy and I just.cannot.stand.dry weather. I love humid heat if I’m going to have hot weather around me, and with pregnancy hormones I’m extra hot! :P But now I can’t say anything because so many people are freezing! The grass is always greener on the other side, isn’t it? And racing season definitely sounds like a fun thing to look forward to, Brittany! Hang in there and stay bright~:D

    • Pierogies are polish dumplings. There are so many kinds of pierogies out there. I had cheese and potato pierogies (dumplings). You should try them!
