Hey guys! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent my Sunday cleaning, doing laundry, finishing homework, and grocery shopping.
I also redecorated my photo corner in my room. My mom found the Paris frame at Hobby Lobby yesterday and decided to buy it for me. I absolutely love it!
Dinner today consisted of toast with almond butter and pierogies.
I know that it probably looks like a strange dinner, but I loved it
A Sunny Outlook
Ok so you might be wondering why in the world I titled this post “Sunny Outlook”. Well, I did it for two reasons. The first being that today is Sunday so I thought that it would be a little punny (lol). Second, I am tired of winter. For those of you in warm climates, I am so jealous! It has been pretty yucky here in Chicago. I don’t mind snow before Christmas… but after December it needs to stop. Gray skys and slush can be very annoying to look at. So, I decided to make a list of things that I am looking forward to and things that I am enjoying now.
Things that I am enjoying today:
- Living at home
- Spending time with my family
- Having time to plan out my future
What I am looking forward to:
- Warm weather
- Racing season (less erging)
- No more 6k tests.. or 2ks
- Graduation
- Summer vacation
- College!
- My first half-marathon
Thinking about all of the good things to come helps to make me stay optimistic and to keep trudging through yucky slush
What are you looking forward to?

I am so tired of winter! I feel ya! Chicago winters are awful. Love the toast with AB though, for some reason looks sooo yummy right now.

I’m looking forward to my first half marathon too! When is yours?! That’s so cool we’re both training for one. What’s your plan?
I’m also looking forward to WARM sunny weather and college. I’m so ready for something new!

Really?! Mine is in November! I will begin my training in May… aka the end of crew season. When is yours?!
Oh mannn now I feel bad for saying that it’s too warm in socal, lol! I mean, I guess it’s not too bad but it’s been dry like crazy and I just.cannot.stand.dry weather. I love humid heat if I’m going to have hot weather around me, and with pregnancy hormones I’m extra hot!
But now I can’t say anything because so many people are freezing! The grass is always greener on the other side, isn’t it? And racing season definitely sounds like a fun thing to look forward to, Brittany! Hang in there and stay bright~:D

I know what you mean, dry heat is painful! I would still prefer the dry heat than the cold grayness here though.
I just found your blog and I adore it! It’s so inviting. I’m a high school senior as well and a healthy living blogger. I’m looking forward to health coaching school, personal training program, my third half marathon, my first full marathon, and coffee:D

Pierogies are polish dumplings. There are so many kinds of pierogies out there. I had cheese and potato pierogies (dumplings). You should try them!
