While flipping through a cake pop book in Barnes and Noble, I read about how to make cake balls! After looking at so many yummy looking cake balls, I decided to make some for Christmas! It was actually really easy to make. So here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
- Cake mix (and whatever ingredients the box requires)
- Chocolate chips (white and/or milk chocolate… or even dark chocolate)
- 1 can of frosting
Directions:
- Prepare cake batter from box
- Mix
- Pour into a greased pan and bake
- Cut cake into large pieces
- Crumble pieces and add desired frosting (more frosting= moister cake balls)
- Take some of the crumbs and form them into a ball
- Place in a container and refrigerate (for approximately 5-10 mins)
- (9th picture) Melt chocolate chips in the microwave (approximately 1.5 minuits). Then drop the ball into the bowl of chocolate and scoop out with a spoon
- (8th picture) Drop ball onto wax paper
- Put the cake balls into the refrigerate to harden chocolate

Now I wish I had your recipe before Christmas! I wanted a recipe to make cake balls without cream cheese – love the frosting mixed in. I could eat a ton of these!
